The producer/director Ian Lilley discovered a track by Paul called ‘The Ruse’ on the Audio Network website, which Paul then took as the basis for reworking and developing the track entirely to provide a suite of varied cues to work in the documentary.
It was about a successful entrepreneur David Fishwick, who, fed up with the high street banks, is convinced that he can do a better job by opening one himself.
The Radio Times wrote ‘very enjoyable to watch, brilliantly edited and, underneath the quirky music and comedy posturing, about as topical as a documentary can get.’
The series won the 2012 RTS Award for Best Nations/Regions Programme, and was nominated in the Broadcast and BAFTA Scotland Awards.
